Draftsperson (Mechanical)

We’re looking for an experienced Drafter to support our mission and to join our team in Montreal.

What does this role involve?
- Complete detailed design of equipment and plant layouts from sketches or specification outlines in the mechanical field under direction of engineers or a supervising design drafter.
- Knowledge of ACAD 3D modelling
- Participate in the review of designs and advise on technical drafting difficulties or compliance requirements as appropriate.
- Comply with the Change Management process for engineering design.
- Upkeep of drawing list and percentage complete status.

**Quality Management**
- Participate in the development and continuous improvement of the Quality management process and system.
- Understand Sedgman standard specifications and typical/standard drawings to reflect current industry standards.

What are we looking for in our future team member?

**Qualifications**:

- Associate Diploma in CAD / or any other formal training certificates.

**Essential skills, knowledge and experience**:

- Minimum 10 years’ experience in design/consultancy environment.
- Discipline based AutoCAD product usage.
- Experience in heavy industry environment.
