Childcare Cook

The Central Saskatchewan Military Family Resource Inc. (CSMFRC) is a non-profit Childcare Centre located on 17 Wing Detachment Dundurn. We are dedicated to building strong kids, strong families and strong communities.

We are currently looking for a Full Time Cook for our Childcare Centre. If you love working in fast-paced environment, are a self-starter and can work well independently then we want to hear from you.

Role & Responsibilities:

- Practice food safety at all times regarding food preparation and cleaning procedures.
- Preparing Ministry of Education approved healthy meals & snacks for Childcare Centers according to the menus provided.
- Cleaning childcare kitchen, dishes and food storage areas according to Public Health Standards.
- Handling and organizing food delivery; may include lifting up to 40lbs.
- Maintain accurate food order sheets and inventory lists.
- Communicate ongoing Food Services needs to the Childcare Director and/or designate.
- Comply with all CFMFRC Policies and Procedures
- Interact with children as required.
- Assist with coverall cleaning duties of the Childcare Centre
- Any other duties as assigned by the Director and/or designate.

Job Requirements:

- Must have valid class 5 drivers license and have personal vehicle for transportation.
- Food service or related experience is an asset.
- Canadian Foodsafe level 1 (preferred)
- Criminal Record Check (CRC) including vulnerable sector check, dated within 3 months of hire(required)

Applicants that have Early Childhood Education Level I, II, or III are eligible to receive additional $3/hr to $5/hr top up to starting wages through the current government wage enhancement grant.

**Salary**: $16.00-$18.00 per hour

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Dundurn, SK: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Restaurant experience: 1 year (preferred)

Shift availability:

- Day Shift (preferred)
