Join our Provincial Finance team, a small, dedicated group focused on delivering excellent financial assistance. Reporting to the Provincial Finance Lead, you'll collaborate with another Financial Analyst and engage with financial analysts across various government branches and BC Wildfire Service units. We ensure accurate reporting, forecasting, and budget support, making a significant impact on financial operations while fostering a supportive and friendly environment where knowledge is shared and teamwork thrives.
**The Role**
The Financial Analyst plays a key role in supporting the division’s budgeting and financial management processes. This role involves maintaining salary monitoring systems, creating detailed financial reports, and ensuring accuracy in tracking expenditures and commitments. The position contributes to fostering an inclusive environment by supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion (EDI) in all aspects of financial operations, ensuring fairness, transparency, and compliance across the organization.
**Qualifications**:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Diploma in a field related to public administration or business administration plus 1 year recent related experience in conducting financial forecasts and analysis; or
- Grade 12 plus 3 years in related experience in conducting financial forecasts and analysis; or
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

- To take in-house training and certification as required
