The pay range for this position is currently set between $39.85 - $43.23 hourly based on a 40-hour work week.

The Entrance Solutions Technician is responsible for the preventative and the general maintenance of HIAA door systems. The Entrance Solutions Technician will focus on urgent/emergency response to all door systems with a focus on public safety and security compliance. The EST works directly with the Building Technician in a team environment and other maintenance staff as required.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Journeyed Electrician, Millwright (Red Sealed) or 5 year's experience as an Entrance Solutions Door Technician
- Minimum of three (3) years electrical/mechanical maintenance experience
- Experience with repair and maintenance of multiple types of door including but not limited to revolving, flip flow security portals, fire doors with fire alarm automated activation and thermals, electro/mechanical door operators: swing & slider, electric door latches, door activate card readers, manual door hardware, overhead doors
- Experience working in an industrial environment
- Knowledge of locksmith activities including combination locks and keys
- Knowledge of security software
- Community college education in electrical/mechanical maintenance
- Valid NS Drivers' license
- Must be able to obtain and retain a Halifax International Airport Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC)
- DA Airport Vehicle Operators Permit
- Experience utilizing PC based maintenance programs
- Ability to read Electrical / Mechanical /Architectural drawings
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing entrance systems
- Demonstrated problem solving ability
- Demonstrated safety awareness
- Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team
- Demonstrated ability to work with mínimal supervision and prioritize work
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities within a dynamic and changing environment
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and follow-up
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strategic working relationships with internal departments and external stakeholders
- Knowledge of building codes
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software and process driven software i.e./ C-cure
- Most tasks are extremely time sensitive with high operational pressures
- Ability to work at heights above 8 feet
