**Position Description**

**Position Responsibilities**
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during driving and operations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and report any maintenance or repair issues promptly.
- Demonstrate expertise in mountain driving techniques, maintaining control and safety while navigating challenging terrains.
- Utilize strong time management skills to optimize delivery schedules and meet deadlines.
- Follow established routes and adapt to alternate routes as needed due to weather, road closures, or other factors.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents.
- Collaborate effectively with dispatchers, team members, and other departments to ensure efficient operations.
- Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner when interacting with clients and other stakeholders.
- Additional duties may be required

**Qualifications**
- Minimum of 3 years of hydro/driving experience.
- Valid Class 3 driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Extensive mountain driving experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with Elkford and surrounding areas is an asset.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform minor vehicle repairs and maintenance.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to follow directions and instructions.
- Physically fit and able to lift and handle heavy loads when necessary.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Willingness to adhere to a rotational work schedule (minimum 2 weeks on, 1 week off) with a preference for 3-1 or 4-1 rotation.
