We are looking for a passionate professional with 3 or more years of Life Insurance industry experience, who also has a passion to work in our local communities and engage with members and non-members. Through the Specialist, Wealth Protection, Vancity will build strong and lasting relationships and provide wealth protection solutions to our members.

**A typical day would involve**:

- Providing quality wealth protection advice, service and solutions that enable Vancity policyholders to achieve wealth protection objectives while minimizing risk to policyholders, insurance providers, and Vancity.
- Building and maintaining a portfolio of wealth protection accounts through referrals from Vancity internal partners and existing members to create opportunities for new business and future growth.
- Collaborate with Vancity specialist roles to leverage referral opportunities across the organization.
- Creating and delivering wealth protection training materials and resources to optimize quality referrals on a consistent basis.
- Achieving assigned team sales and referral targets to contribute to profitability for Sustainable Wealth Management.
- Conducting learning sessions to elevate knowledge of internal partners or members regarding financial literacy.

- **Analytical** - ability to analyze current members situations, develop appropriate advice, strategies and produce alternative solutions while adhering to applicable regulatory standards.
- **A Great Communicator** - using your written, spoken, and interpersonal skills, you act as a resource for the specialized area, providing advice, guidance, explanations, and related support; all in a clear and concise manner.
- **A Confident Problem Solver**:

- **Flexible **- you are willing to travel or move geographically within Vancity’s market area to meet our member and/or business needs.
- **A team player** - you coach and mentor peers, while displaying a willingness to assist others and contribute to achieving team goals by working closely with colleagues, notably the wealth protection team.

**You Have**:

- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in Life Insurance Services
- Eligible for life insurance licensing in British Columbia (LLQP program)
- At least 2 or more years of experience working directly with clients/members
- Excellent relationship building skills
- A solid grasp of the Life Insurance services industry
- A working knowledge of financial services

**Bonus Points**:

- Certified Life Underwriter (CLU)
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP)
- Professional Financial Planner (PFP)

**The Team**: The Specialist, Wealth Protection reports directly into the Regional Manager Wealth Solutions.

**Salary Band**:Competitive base salary + variable incentive
