Currently, Supply Chain division has a Warehouse Manager (First Line Manager, Warehouse - Stockkeeping) rotational opportunity, within the Supply Chain and Warehousing Logistics department.

The First Line Manager, Warehouse is committed to monitoring work execution, both through personal observation and management information, to ensure work quality, policy/procedure compliance, safety, timeliness, productivity and taking action as appropriate.

Having a strong discipline towards driving for accountability and results, you have a robust disposition towards time management and organization skills with the ability to multitask. You are an excellent role model of professionalism and have a proven track record of having met or surpassed goals on a consistent basis. You can balance a high standard of excellence with the ability to meet targets and deadlines.

This is a temporary/ rotational opportunity that could be for a period of up to 24 months.

What will you be responsible for?

The First Line Manager, Warehouse is responsible for a team who carry out receiving, receipting, inspection, custodianship, packaging, shipping, scheduling, physical inventory, material identification, taking and distribution of all materials, tools, and equipment, in a manner consistent with approved policies, procedures, standards, and improvement plans.

As a manager you will ensure adequate training is provided and delivered to staff to assure that responsibilities are effectively and efficiently carried out in compliance with company, regulatory and safety program requirements.

Specific Responsibilities:
- Ensures staff is performing work safely by developing, instituting, and monitoring safety in work activities. Initiates, organizes, and conducts unit safety and communication meetings. Takes corrective action when safety deficiencies occur and communicates corrective actions to staff- Performs formal job safety analysis to identify hazards associated with non-routine work.- Conducts and leads field investigations on reported accidents, reports to Manager and participates in managed safety systems investigations- Assesses, plans, schedules, and assigns all activities associated with warehousing functions considering workload, priorities, and staff considerations- Ensures work is performed safely, and with a recognized level of proficiency while assisting in the development, implementation and monitoring of warehouse programs and objectives- Maintains special storage, handling, maintenance, and shelf-life requirements for all assets in storage (materials, tools, equipment, and spare parts)- Maintains an efficient and cost-effective tool crib operation- Implements tool control procedures to ensure availability of tools and specialty equipment to meet the station requirements, ensuring tools are in good working condition. Maintains an accurate inventory of tools and specialty equipment- Establishes and maintains a workplace environment that promotes sustainable development initiatives by initiating recycling, reuse, reduce work methods (such as material packaging, returnable containers, aluminum pallets, etc.)

Knowledge and Skills- Values the role and is committed to a high standard of performance strong planning, organizational and leadership skills- Demonstrated ability to achieve task results consistent with requirements for safety, quality, quantity, timeliness, and resource allowance- Demonstrated capability in business planning, work program development and commitment to deliver results on time- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of materials management operations and processes- Demonstrated understanding of the operational impact of material control in the nuclear industry- Demonstrated knowledge of material identification, quality assurance documentation, requirements planning, and financial asset control- Must have the required knowledge and skill for the specific work they will be performing- Demonstrated knowledge of Maximo considered an asset

Education and Experience- Requires a Grade XII education plus up to two years further concentrated study in areas re
