**Job Duties & Details**:

- Collaborate with other content specialists and departments to conceptualize, execute, and produce compelling and impactful content to reach target audiences
- Develop and lead digital trainings for staff and EDAs on writing best practices for digital content
- Working with the digital and communications teams to identify key moments and opportunities for fundraising, volunteer recruitment, and digital outreach and propose content strategies to achieve those goals
- Review, edit, and provide advice on written content, including concepts, themes, and messaging, across departments
- Move products and content assignments through to completion, ensuring appropriate reviews and revisions prior to publication
- Monitor key performance indicators and adapt content strategy accordingly
- Ensure written products conform to the Message Guide; assist in the development of a Message Guide as needed
- Research and stay current on digital content best practices
- Undertake other writing projects as directed
- Other duties as assigned

**Required skills & Experience**:

- Worked at least one election campaign in a writing position with a digital or communications team (or equivalent, relevant experience)
- Experience with social media copy and content in a professional environment
- Proven experience developing and writing in distinct tones of voice
- Keen understanding of writing for different audiences and outcomes
- Experience with digital fundraising and online ladders of engagement
- Excellent organization and communication skills; able to work collaboratively with others to move written products from concept, draft, review, and revision through to completion
- Knowledgeable and passionate about social issues and/or Canada’s NDP
- Ability to work in a high-paced, high-pressure work environment in which attention to detail is paramount.
- Spoken and written French is considered an asset.

**Salary**:
Starting rate of pay is $60,297.15 plus 8% pension, generous Health & Dental
Benefits. Annual Cost-of-Living increase and automatic raises every 6 months
for the first 4 years of employment (as per Collective Agreement with COPE
225)
