Qc Technician

**About Agrisan**

Agrisan is located in Arthur, Ontario approximately 40 minutes north of Guelph. Since 1995, the company has been providing products for animal health & hygiene, food & beverage cleaning, and specialized custom blending. Agrisan holds a Health Canada establishment license to manufacture, test, package/label, and distribute pharmaceuticals.

**About the Role**:
The QC Technician performs tasks per established standard operating procedures, safety, and GMP requirements. Core functions include quality control testing of raw material, in-process samples, and product.

**Responsibilities**:

- Test samples using analytical equipment to ensure the batches achieve quality specifications.
- Train new lab hires.
- Manage paperwork flow through the lab and all lab filing systems.
- Inspect incoming raw materials, packaging materials, and outgoing product.
- Use and maintenance of lab equipment.
- Recommend procedural updates as appropriate.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, while keeping up with normal workflow.
- Monitor product stability.
- Receive samples of all raw materials, in-process and finished goods.
- Review documentation for compliance.
- Aid in the preparation of samples for testing at external labs.
- Collect and keep retain samples.
- Participate in procedure development and qualification.
- Aid in product quality investigations.
- Interact with other employees to resolve filling, packing, and manufacturing issues.
- Assist in laboratory equipment maintenance, calibration and qualification.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or relevant post-secondary education in chemistry, biology or a related field preferred.
- Able to safely use laboratory equipment.
- Analytical chemistry experience (e.g. HPLC) is an asset.
- Knowledge of GMP and quality systems is an asset.
- Must be able to use Microsoft Office.
