The Risk Control mandate is to bring transparency to the risks in TDS. This is achieved by taking a leadership role in the accurate, complete, objective assessment of all key algorithmic risks in TDS through the identification, understanding, control and ongoing review of these risks.

**Job Description**:
The position will have the following important facets:

- Reporting to the Associate Vice President, Market Risk Control, Toronto, the position will be part of a transversal team providing 2nd line challenge and review of algorithmic risk, working in partnership with the business (1A and 1B), Compliance, Model Validation and other areas of Risk.
- Formalize TDS’s overall e-/Algorithmic trading risk appetite and evolve risk management operating model accordingly - by working with the AVP, MRC, to develop formal Global Algorithmic Trading Policy and algorithmic control standards, defining overall algorithmic trading risk management framework.
- Establishment of the organization structure, design of the engagement model and formalize standards and evidence while developing partnerships with the other stakeholders.
- Provision of support throughout the algo lifecycle involving regular contacts with 1A and 1B lines of control and implementation of a robust process to capture key risk management ‘artifacts’, templates, and reporting across algorithmic lifecycle steps
- Provision of advice across 2nd line and coordination with other stakeholders (like Model Validation when Algorithmic classified as model and Compliance in all cases).
- Review and approval of ‘container’ for Algorithms.
- Understand and comply with TD Policies, regulatory and compliance requirements.
- You are required to demonstrate governance, control and risk management behaviours in alignment with TD policies and practices.
- It is your responsibility to ensure that execution of your function is line with documented procedures specific to your role or business.
