We are looking to expand our team and we are looking for a unique individual with Kinesiology degree / experience to fill in the role of **Technician Chiropractic Assistant**. Someone who is caring, compassionate, energetic, and loves the idea of helping sick and suffering people get well naturally with chiropractic care, without drugs, injections, or surgery.
As a chiropractic clinical health assistant (technician), you will be will be responsible for collaborating with the chiropractic doctor to serve Back To Health Chiropractic Centre’s mission of helping sick and suffering people get well, all the while providing assistance to essential clinical and administrative procedures. The chiropractic health technician will work side-by-side with the chiropractor, assisting the chiropractor, doing exams and clinical procedures, helping patients with exercises and traction setups, helping with administration, all under the direction of the chiropractor.
A degree in Kinesiology is required. Our office offers corrective chiropractic care. The Chiropractic Technician Assistant will be helping the doctor set up patients in traction equipment, guiding, teaching, and supervising patients doing their posture correction exercises and traction exercises. Other job tasks include assisting with administration (files, payments, telephones).

**Full Time Position**: 36 - 40 hours per week.
Work week is Monday-Thursday, with the occasional Friday.
These are the days / times required to work:
Monday: 6:30am to 11:30am and 2:30pm to 7:30pm
Tuesday: 9:30am to 7:30pm
Wednesday: 6:30am to 11:30am and 2:30pm to 7:30pm
Thursday: 6:30am to 11:30am and 2:30pm to 7:30pm
**Effective Date**: June 26, 2023
**Hourly Rate**: $18-$20 per hour, depending on experience
*Pay rate increases, dependent on attained skill level and experience, and length of employment with our team.
**Primary Technician Duties Include, but Are Not Limited to**:
- Work side-by-side with the chiropractic doctor during patent visits, exam visits, patient exercises
- Assist the chiropractic doctor with new patient exams, re-assessments, exercise programs, and other office and clinical procedures.
- Perform consultation and examination procedures with patients under direction of the chiropractic doctor.
- Take accurate clinical notes under the direction of the chiropractor.
- Post services and products in Atlas patient software
- Post any Denneroll, traction units, or products that are dispensed to patient in Atlas
- Teach, assist, and supervise patients with their structural rehabilitation and traction exercises under the direction of the chiropractor
- Do PostureScreen posture assessments for patients, print reports, give reports to patient
- Assist the chiropractic doctor with patient report of finding packets
- Prepare and give patients educational material, handouts, and exercise instruction sheets
- Prepare patient for xrays, set up xrays, develop xrays, mark xrays, digitize xrays on film and computer software
- Organize and file xrays
- Upload xray images in patient electronic record (Atlas).
- Attend and participate at weekly training sessions with the chiropractic doctor
- Attend and participate staff meetings
- Attend seminars and off-site trainings
- Help patients with filling out forms
- Preparing files and reports for the chiropractic doctor
- Assist at community outreach events, such as posture screenings and corporate / community lecture (weekends, lunch and learns, evenings).
- Keep all patient records and information confidential
- Assist in front desk administration and telephone procedures.
**Secondary Duties Include, but Not Limited to**:
- Answer and manage telephone calls from patients.
- Schedule patient and manage patient appointments.
- Maintain an accurate and organized front desk and filing system.
- Prepare patient files (paper and computer).
- Keeping facilities tidy, organized, and cleaned.
