**Job Summary**:
We are is looking for a **Community Service and Addictions Worker (CSW) Program Instructor **who would be responsible to train students and provide required skills and knowledge for employment as Community Service Workers and/or Addictions Workers in group homes, not-for profit organizations, government social assistance programs, group shelters, and other settings where community service or addictions services are provided.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Demonstrate a thorough and accurate knowledge of the field
- Instruct curriculum using only pre-authorized and provided materials
- Teach students using a diverse and systematic plan of lectures, presentations, demonstrations, discussion groups, laboratory work, case studies, independent or group projects
- Administer and marks quizzes, assignments, exams and/or other assessments to monitor and evaluate students’ progress according to guidelines and procedures
- Evaluate student performance fairly and consistently and return student marks promptly
- Provide feedback on student performance
- Arrange feedback from students on the instructor, content, and facility at the end of each course
- Demonstrate sensitivity to student needs and individual circumstances in a multi-cultural environment
- Resolve student complaints and concerns with a positive and professional attitude
- Maintain attendance records accurately
- Assure that classrooms are left in a clean and orderly fashion at end of class without loss of or damage to equipment or other resources
- Provide support to the admissions team with potential students who have questions about the program or future career
- Participate in scheduled meetings and annual events like graduation
- Maintain confidentiality of student privacy and information
- Display an attitude of teamwork and problem solving
- Perform other related duties as required

**Skills Required**:

- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database systems
- Excellent oral and written communication to present information in a way that students will understand as well as adapt to the different learning styles
- Professional business attire and interpersonal skills to act as a mentor and role model
- Online teaching (training provided, but computer skills are essential)

**Technical Skills**:

- 2-4 year of Preferred work experience as community service worker in group homes, not-for profit organizations, government social assistance programs, group shelters, and other settings where community service or addictions services are provided.

**Qualifications**:

- Have 48 months of work experience in the vocation OR
- Have 36 months of teaching experience in the vocation and 24 months of work experience in the vocation OR
- Have 24 months of work experience in the vocation AND
- Hold a Bachelor degree from a Canadian university or an equivalent degree
- Graduate of a College of Applied Arts and Technology or equivalent
- Graduate of a registered PCC or equivalent
- AEC/DEP or Skilled Certificate (preferred)
