**About the role**

As an Analyst, Member Risk & Resolution, you will be accountable for conducting regular resolution planning and resolvability assessments of assigned CDIC member institutions; as well as assisting in resolution planning and preparedness activities for more complex member institutions.

This role can be performed from our Toronto or Ottawa offices, following a hybrid model approach. #LI-Hybrid

**We trust you will be up to the challenge**
- Identifies the information and data required to assess the resolvability of individual member institutions contained within your portfolio.
- Contributes to recommendations on appropriate action to be taken concerning each assigned member and informs the Director, Member Risk and Resolution and senior CDIC management of situations requiring heightened monitoring and/or resolution preparedness or planning activities.
- Supports Managers and Directors, Member Risk and Resolution generally and conducts special projects to assist the Division and the Corporation, as required.
- Participates in meetings with regulator(s) to discuss issues related to member institutions and completes the requirements established under the CDIC-OSFI Strategic Alliance Agreement.
- Supports the preparation of reports to the Board of Directors on high-risk member institutions or other issues, as required.
- Supports resolution planning and preparedness activities of member institutions, as required.

**We trust you will bring your expertise**
- An undergraduate degree in a business-related field;
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry, directly or in a regulatory capacity, in roles involving accounting, financial analysis, treasury or banking industry analysis.
- Willingness to pursue a relevant professional designation (e.g. CFA, FRM, CPA, CBV, other) would be considered an asset
- Good understanding of financial risk management, (i.e. credit risk management, treasury risk management), and/or analysis of financial institutions performance.
- Technical competence, sound professional judgment and familiarity with complex accounting, taxation, credit, treasury and corporate finance issues.
- Some experience in project management and due diligence processes.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to grasp strategic and technical issues and effectively communicate such issues verbally and in writing.
