Municipal Patroller

Radar Sécurité is looking for patrol officers whose mandate is to monitor streets and public spaces, enforce municipal bylaws and issue notices and statements of offence. Patrol officers assist and inform citizens and visitors to the municipality, and may be called upon to contact any emergency services.

**Requirements**:

- Background_
- Attestation of Collegial Studies in Urban Safety or equivalent.
- Experiences_
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a security field;
- Experience in public safety or law enforcement (asset);
- Valid security agent's license issued by the Bureau de la sécurité privée (B.S.P.) ;
- Valid competency card for use of expandable baton and handcuffs;
- Valid driver's license / class 4A ;
- Valid CPR C / AED first-aid training;
- Be in good physical condition;
- No criminal convictions.
- Knowledge_
- Very good knowledge of spoken and written French;
- Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access);
- Ability to write reports;
- Accès-Cité Territoire software from PG Solution (asset);
- Knowledge of English or a second language (asset).

**Job duties**:

- Carry out security patrols by vehicle and on foot throughout the territory;
- Ensure compliance with municipal by-laws;
- Issue notices and statements of offence;
- Assist citizens and respond to their complaints;
- Report any anomaly;
- Manage vehicular and pedestrian traffic;
- Go door-to-door to inform citizens of special situations;
- Provide escorts for parades and municipal events;
- Respond to alarms in municipal buildings;
- Monitor municipal infrastructure and assets;
- Install temporary emergency signage;
- Transport city personnel;
- Assist emergency services and municipal departments on request;
- Produce complete and accurate response reports;
- Gather evidence and testify in court;
- Participate in the city's prevention and awareness programs;
- Perform any other duties related to its areas of responsibility.

**Hours and salary**:
4/2 work cycle (4 days on / 2 days off)

The hourly rate is set at $24.75 ($25.75 at night), all premiums included.
