DevOps Specialist

**The Position**
The DevOps specialist will oversee the design, construction, implementation and operation of various systems used to run the company’s cloud-based solution. The incumbent is responsible for the evolution of the infrastructure used to host and operate the solution and for the deployment and operation of the services that the solution depends upon. The person must collaborate closely with other team members.
**What will you do in this role?**
This role focuses on architecting effective solutions adhering to security and regulatory compliance for cloud foundational components in AWS and other managed infrastructure services.
Support Application/Linux Infrastructure solution’s architecture in the cloud.
Collaborate with IT security in development and deployment of security policy, standards and guidelines related to multiple security domains.
Contribute to architecture and technology design and deployment projects using appropriate methodologies to develop production ready solutions in a cloud environment. Supervise the work of more junior team members.
Contribute to Cloud Strategies based on core architecture principles, patterns and decisions with a focus on controls for cost optimization, optimum resource utilization, IAM, tactical security posture and governance.
**Essential Skills and Experience**
2+ years of managing Linux servers, networking and virtualized system administration experience.
Container-based deployment and orchestration systems (ex: Docker, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes etc)
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with teams across the entire organization.
Excellent understanding of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and telecommunications systems.
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and the skills to deal with ambiguity
Self-motivated with a desire to learn more.
**Nice to have**
Knowledge on the following systems:
AWS experience
Elasticsearch Stack, Message Brokers such as ActiveMQ or Artemis.

Relational and no SQL databases.
Configuration management tools such as Ansible.
Experience with CICD pipelines (Jenkins)
