Edm Operator

Canada Mold Technology is a world class supplier of injection molds and tools for the automotive industry. We are dedicated to Complete Customer Satisfaction by producing quality molds, at moderate cost, and on time.

Currently we are looking for competent EDM Operators for rotating day and afternoon shift.

The EDM Operators will be responsible for machining a quality product that meets company and customer expectations, while maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Determine machining requirements, dimensional specifications, and set up requirements from programs, process sheets and CAD 3D data;
- Perform set up and operation of wire and sinker EDM machines in support of production;
- Load program into machine control as needed;
- Select, preset and adjust settings needed for optimal spark gaps, speed and tolerances;
- Ensure effective production of quality parts by completing in-process and final checks using gauges and measuring equipment;
- Observe numerical displays on control panel and compare with data on process sheet to verify dimensional adjustments;
- Ensure that all machining tasks are completed in timely manner;
- Ensure equipment maintenance procedures are followed reporting any issues or concerns to the EDM Leader;
- Complete minor troubleshooting as required;

**Salary**: $20.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
