The West Vancouver Parks, Culture & Community Services Department has an opening for a temporary part-time Program Coordinator - Health & Fitness. Reporting to the Aquatics & Community Wellness Recreation Services Supervisor, this position will be responsible for the coordination of the West Vancouver Aquatic Centre weight room operations.
- assessing individual and community fitness needs and interests;
- coordinating weight room operations;
- coordinating health and wellness initiatives, programs, and special events;
- planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating new and/or revised programs to ensure cost efficiency, effectiveness and program relevance;
- recruiting, training, scheduling, supervising and evaluating union; non-union; casual staff and instructors;
- preparing promotional material and promoting interest and participation in health and fitness activities of the community;
- working collaboratively and as part of an engaged team to design, support and promote district wide health and fitness programs and services; and,
- other related duties.
- Position Status:
- Union (WVMEA) - Temporary, Part-Time (0.8)- Hours of Work:
- 30 hours per week (hours and days of work may vary and will include weekend and/or early morning or evening hours)- Starting Rate of Pay:
- $32.87 per hour.
This position has a pay structure with five steps which increase annually.
