Muskoka Cabinet Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is crucial to the company's operation as it involves being responsible for efficiently troubleshooting and repairing various technical issues that may arise during the manufacturing process. These could pertain to electrical systems, machinery, or other related equipment.

Furthermore, you will be engaged in various projects that aim to explore new technologies and improve manufacturing processes such as helping in the construction and development of our automated robotic assembly line, robotic sander, and any future projects.

**The Role**
- Hourly Rate: Based off experience.
- Paid sick days.
- Profit sharing program.

- Full Time in person work on site in Alfred, ON.
- On-site training for this position.
- Start date - ASAP.

**Responsibilities and duties**:

- Conduct analysis of routine equipment issues and independently implement on-site corrections.
- Provide guidance to production personnel on appropriate equipment operation and fundamental maintenance procedures.
- Demonstrate proficiency in current industrial electrical standards (CEC) and possess the ability to interpret electrical drawings, process & instrumentation diagrams, and schematics when required.
- Collaborate in mechanical repairs when necessary and conduct periodic preventive maintenance inspections as needed.
- Undertake PLC troubleshooting and maintenance activities to effectively support production operations.
- Plan and execute assigned tasks efficiently to minimize machine downtime while prioritizing employee safety.
- Conduct maintenance upkeep after department hours to avoid production delays/stoppage.

Individuals with the following traits, skills and experiences should apply:

- Able to read and understand technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Able to deal effectively with production.
- Experience with wood working equipment would be desirable but not essential.
- Electronics education or similar will be an asset.
- PLC/HMI troubleshooting and maintenance to support production.
- Great communication skills; written and verbal.
- Understanding of Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
- Ability to work in a team environment & individually.
- English speaking, reading, and writing is mandatory.

**Asset Education**
- Industrial Electrical/Electromechanical Technician or similar certificate or Trades Qualification (442A)
- 3 or more years of experience with mechanical and/or electronic service, preferably in the manufacturing.
- Bilingual in English & French.
