Job Description**Status**: Term Part Time 30 hrs per week (6hrs x 5 days/week)

Starting Date: As soon as possible

Ending Date: May 13, 2024

**Wage Rate**: Starting at $22.19 per hour as Post Basic ECE plus wage enhancement for qualified ECEs.

**Location**: YWCA Leslie Diamond Early Learning and Care Centre

This position is responsible for providing child care under supervision in addition to the responsibilities listed below.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Charting all information (re child's day);
- Implementing the principles of the Early Learning Framework in day to day programming
- Greet all parents and children when they arrive;
- Know and follow each child's individual schedule;
- Give and receive information to other staff members, to/from parents;
- Housekeeping and Laundry, including Sanitize toys, highchairs;
- Environmental set-up;
- Monitor and assess children's health;
- Program Planning, implementation, documentation and evaluation;
- Written developmental report on the children (for staff reference and parent interest)
- Implement and follow guidance provided by service providers, such as Speech and language therapist, Occupational therapist, Physiotherapist, Supported Child Development and Behavioural consultants and other providers as needed
- Other duties as required

**What you’ll need**:

- Infant Toddler certificate certification is required.
- Knowledge and experience with current practice and theory including co-constructed curriculum and documentation preferable.
- Individuals will be team players interested in maintaining a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Basic knowledge of office software like Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
- References will be contacted.
- A valid clear criminal record check (including working with vulnerable populations) is required.
- The YWCA Metro Vancouver’s COVID-19 vaccination policy is currently suspended and as a result, vaccination from COVID-19 is not required at this time. However, should circumstances change and the YWCA deem it necessary to reintroduce such policy, you may be required to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 in order to be eligible to continue performing your duties.
