The Department of Families is seeking a highly motivated and engaged individuals to fill term Child and Family Services Applications Trainer positions. The Manitoba Government has a comprehensive benefit package which includes extended health care, health spending account, dentalcare, vision care, long term disability insurance, group life insurance, maternity/paternity leave, family related leave, and a defined pensionplan (some pension plans allow for portability between the Civil Service Superannuation Board and employers).

Conditions of Employment:

- Must be able to provide and maintain a Satisfactory Criminal Record Search (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child AbuseRegistry Check, Prior Contact Check.
- Must be able to travel, including by air in a small aircraft, throughout the Province on a regular basis with possible overnight travel.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Full Class 5 Manitoba Driver's License, or equivilent, and have access to a personal vehicle.
- Must be able to work overtime, including evenings and weekends, as required.
- Must provide a satisfactory Child Abuse and Adult Abuse Registry Check.

Qualifications:
**Essential**:

- Post secondary education in Social Sciences field (preferably BSW). Other combinations of education and related experiencemay be considered.
- Experience in case management and front line service delivery in the Child and Family Services field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning principles, with experience designing and delivering training to adult learners.
- Experience working with the Child and Family Services Information System (CFSIS) and Intake Module (IM).
- Thorough knowledge of Child and Family Services legislation, standards and agency operating procedures.
- Strong verbal communication skills including the ability to deliver information effectively to various individuals.
- Excellent written communication skills with experience developing a variety of materials.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively build and maintain strong working relationships with a variety of individuals.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.

**Duties**:
Under the general direction of the Manager of Training, the incumbent works as a member of the Child and Family Services Applications(CFSA) team to provide training for Child and Family Services (CFS) users at the Child and Family Services Division, CFS agencies andregional offices. The incumbent provides input into the development and operations of the CFSA to meet the procedural and operationalrequirements of CFS, including requirements of the Child and Family Services Act.
