BASIC PURPOSE

As Project Manager and Foreperson, you play an important role for Grifflyn Electric. Reporting directly to the Principal Owner, you are responsible for providing excellent communication, self-discipline, and time management skills. You will be assigned to manage and complete projects on and off the tools for residential and commercial projects.

As a well-suited Electrical Project Manager, you contribute to our team with a wide-ranging knowledge of electrical procedures, practices, and principles.

In this role, you will
- Work in collaboration with the Principal Owner
- Be responsible for reaching expected targets - manage project schedules and deliverables to meet client commitments
- Work with vendors and subcontractors to provide quick and accurate turn around on project change pricing
- Lead others to exercise quality work
- Possess attention to detail and be sensitive to deadlines
- Excel in client relations and communication - utilize respectful negotiation techniques
- Responsible for change orders and directives given by general contractors

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Oversee various electrical field work, installations, and troubleshooting
- Work on-tools when required setting the example for our team
- Prepare, monitor and maintain the project schedules
- Coordinate and lead scheduling meetings to ensure project efficiencies
- Provide weekly, biweekly, or monthly project status reports - Collect, analyze, and summarize data for reporting purposes
- Coordinate day to day operations and provide planned projects to the Principal Owner
- Possess the ability to read and comprehend construction and electrical drawings
- Develop and maintain good professional relationships with clients and subcontractors
- Practice good judgment and effective communication, management, and leadership skills in fostering and maintaining positive relationships with existing and new clients and fellow team members
- Plan and account for necessary resources - submit deliverables according to expectations
- Analyze and manage risks
- Ensure progress is consistently monitored
- Manage Subtrades and Supply Partners
- Prepare agendas, conduct meetings, prepare minutes, action plans with appropriate follow up
- Review project plans and specifications, commenting on scheduling, possible cost saving measures and potential problems
- Maintain and continuously stay current with the latest industry codes, standards, guidelines, procedures, and practices
- Monitor and support electrical operations in all aspects from inception to completion including cost control, planning, and scheduling
- Oversee and/or the preparation, issue and maintenance of Subcontracts and Subcontract Change Orders
- Complete and submit time and cost estimates
- Assist with other related duties, as required

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years Project Management experience an asset
- Red Seal Certification
- FSR B
