**Operations and Parks Departments**

We are looking for keen individuals to perform manual maintenance and construction work in our Operations and Parks Departments. Under supervision of skilled staff, work may involve various manual tasks using a variety of hand tools in the maintenance, construction, repair and installation of public works and parks services. Other duties may be associated with routine cleaning, maintenance and repair of municipal facilities, parks and other public spaces. Duties could include litter pick up, shoveling snow, cutting brush and assisting in maintaining and landscaping boulevards, weeding and planting; operating leaf blower, pressure washing, cutting and trimming grass with power and non-professional mowers, waters and fertilizing grass areas, etc.

We are looking for individuals able to exercise initiative and sound judgment and who possess a positive work ethic. If you have knowledge and experience in municipal Operations and Parks, don’t mind hard work in all kinds of weather, and are physically fit, we invite you to submit your resume.

These CUPE positions offer an hourly rate of $28.72 per hour plus 10% in lieu of benefits.
