RockHaven Children’s Services Inc. is a Treatment Foster Care agency looking for a highly skilled and qualified Child and Youth Counsellor to join our team.

RockHaven Treatment Foster Care (TFC) provides a safe, stable and nurturing home environment for foster children who have emotional or behavioral needs. We are a family-based residential treatment program that allows the child to experience healthy parent-to-child relationships in an environment that promotes growth and healing.

**Job Description**:
You will work with the youth in our program, in the client’s home or in the community to assist them in meeting their treatment goals.

Qualifications/Skills/Knowledge:

- Diploma in Child and Youth Counsellor or an equivalent Diploma or Degree
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Completing youth daily logs and incident reports as required
- Ability to carry out individual youth programming
- Experience in managing challenging and behavioral youth
- Effective communication with your supervisor and co-workers
- Strong ability to build a supportive working relationship with both staff and youth
- Teaching youth life skills
- NVCI an asset
- CPR/First Aid an asset

**Requirements**:

- Experience working with Autism
- Current Police Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
- Child Welfare Record Check
- Valid Class G driver’s licence
- Satisfactory Driver’s Abstract
- Proof of vehicle insurance with 2 million liability

This position is days/evenings/weekends, 20-30 hrs per week in Beaverton, ON.

**Salary**: $23.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
