**JOB DESCRIPTION**
**Duties**:
- This is a Full-time Regular Position as the P4 Team Lead for P&C & Telecom Programs in
- Program and Contract Management (PCM). The P&C & Telecom Team Lead will be accountable
- for leading a team of employee and contracted work program managers who are responsible for
- the delivery and coordination of P&C & Telecom programs that are focused on P&C & Telecom
- Maintenance as well as P&C & Telecom Asset Replacement and Life Extension.
- The role includes:
- Directly managing a team of work program managers who deliver approximately $10M of Capital
Programs annually and approximately $10M of P&C & Telecom Maintenance Programs.- Support, collaborate and be actively involved with delivery partners on a wide array of
challenges in a time sensitive environment.- Ability to escalate issues and risks in a professional manner, which all teams benefit.
- Forecast and report capital & maintenance delivery progress, variance and mitigation plans to
- schedule at a portfolio level and prepare Change Notices on behalf of the team.- Ensure internal and external resources are assigned, establish contracts where required and
provide insight and guidance to work program management team with a focus on delivering work
- in a cost-effective manner.- Review individual program progress and assesses completed work for accuracy, compliance,
required results and quality assurance.- Lead or support cross-functional initiatives which may be unique to facility programs or have a
- broader operational impact, with an ability to present and evaluate options, criteria and implement
- outcomes with delivery partners.- Represent BC Hydro as the “Contract Owner” or the “Hydro Rep” on construction or equipment
contracts. Support project teams to reduce BC Hydro’s exposure to contract claims and participate
- in contract and claim negotiations with suppliers and contractors.**Qualifications**:
***level qualifications may be considered.- Project and/or Program Management certification preferred.
- 6 or more years of progressive related experience which includes experience managing
employees and/or contractors- A proven track record managing programs or projects within an electric utility, engineering firm,
construction contractor or similar environment with direct involvement in programs or projects.- Well-developed communication, facilitation, negotiation and interpersonal skills along with
demonstrating planning, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.- Technical knowledge on P&C & Telecom assets is required
