Provide leadership and supervision to accounting staff and demonstrate this leadership consistently, creating a workplace culture in alignment with the Epic Opportunities’ vision, mission and values.

**We will count on you to**:

- In conjunction with the Director team, plan, monitor and protect financial and material resources to ensure viability of the organization.
- Provide leadership and supervision to accounting staff, including orientation, training, assigning work and managing job performance.
- Ensure monthly financial statements and reports are prepared in a timely way. Contribute to regular financial reports and prepare draft budgets for use by the rest of the management team; attend meetings as requested.
- Provide working budget templates for management annually.
- As required, meet with and/or provide information and recommendations to the Director and Coordinator teams.
- Interact effectively with the Epic Opportunities team and the community-at-large, modelling organizational values in all relationships.

**Qualifications and experience we are looking for**:

- Professional accounting designation or in the late stages of the CPA program.
- Five years’ experience in accounting capacity with two years’ supervisory experience, preferably in a non-profit environment.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and CRA requirements for non-profit sector.
- Experience in audit practices and preparation.
