Callingwood Denture Clinic is looking for an enthusiastic receptionist, with excellent customer service skills, to join our team-oriented clinic. A receptionist sets the tone for patients immediately upon entering the clinic and guides their experience with us from arrival to departure. The right receptionist can make this experience on of joy, respect, and trust. An effective receptionist will enhance the clinic’s performance by maximizing the denturist’s efficiency and productivity, maintaining the smooth flow of patients and appointments, and communicating effectively to build patient's trust.

The right person would be someone who enjoys working with people, shows attention to detail, has strong written and oral communication skills, and who loves problem solving.

Experience and comfort with dental software and terminology is a bonus but we provide training and education of all needed skill sets.

**Duties**:

- Greet patients warmly by name upon arrival, put them at ease, and prepare them for what to expect each visit.
- Gather information and charting from new patients and set up insurance pathways digitally.
- Establish how patients will pay, collect payments for services rendered, and manage payment plans and insurance claims to ensure accounts are settled in a timely manner.
- Manage patient expectations, answer simple treatment and ongoing care questions, take messages as needed, and engage denturists for more complete answers when necessary.
- Ensure reception, clinical, and patient areas are clean, neat, and welcoming.
- Monitor dental inventory, stock treatment areas, and order appropriate supplies.
- Coordinate treatment plans by communicating with external laboratories, dental clinics, and surgeons.
- Maintain positive relations by communicating with patients before, during, and after each appointment to ensure clarity, timeliness, and rapport.
- Balance appointment scheduling with patients, denturists, and laboratory output to effectively manage the flow of the clinic.
- Identify and respond to dissatisfied patients with appropriate recovery actions.
- Make appointment reminder calls, post-care calls, and recalls scheduling appropriate follow up care.
- Follow Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) regulations to maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
- Disinfect operatories after patient visits and follow IPC guidelines to sterilize dental tools and equipment for later use.

Wage to be re-assessed after 3 month probationary period.

**Salary**: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
