NATURE AND SCOPE OF POSITION
REPORTING
The Crate Builder reports directly to the Crating and Packing Supervisor of Toro Glasswall Inc. He/she is responsibly for general labour work, crate and frame building and any other duties as required. The hours for the day shift are 7:30am to 4:00pm.
RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Build wood crates and frames, and close the skids
- Clean work area and equipment
- Various other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be able to work in a safe manner with little supervision
- Operate manual or semi-automatic hand tools, such as drill/screw gun, reciprocating saw, etc.
- Ability to use and read a tape measure
- Heavy lifting up to 50 pounds
- Experience working in a plant/manufacturing environment, and with wood or framing
