Communications Summer Student

**We are looking for**: a full-time, contract Communications Student
**Hours of Work**: 34 hours/week. Hybrid work from home.
**Reports to**: Manager, Communications

**Responsibilities**:

- Produce written content with an emphasis on storytelling, including articles, social media posts, and website content;
- Design creative visual content using InDesign and Photoshop, including posters and flyers, and social media graphics;
- Prepare and design weekly e-newsletters for Personal Support Workers using Wordpress;
- Assist with supporting the communication and marketing needs of internal departments;
- Update web-based communications using Wordpress to provide current information for stakeholders and employees;
- Assist with administrative and data management tasks on behalf of the Communications team;
- Additional communications-related projects as required;
- Previous program knowledge (Wordpress, Adobe CC, Mailchimp, etc.) are not required to apply, and may be learned on the job.

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary student currently enrolled in a communications or marketing program (or similar);
- A willingness to learn and strong problem-solving skills;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong editing and proofreading abilities;Proficient at learning new software and technology;
- Previous experience with Adobe CC, MailChimp, and/or WordPress is a strong asset, but are not required in order to apply.
