The Rental Administrator is directly responsible for renting equipment, preparing rental contracts, obtaining customer signatures, payment, and other information as required.

You will explain rental fees and provide information about rented items, such as the operation of and descriptions of such items. You will answer telephone inquiries and receive orders by phone, recommend items to customers that meet their needs, reserve items for requested time.

You may assist or supervise the loading of equipment when necessary, demonstrate safety features and operational features of the equipment and resolve customer problems. You are responsible to stock and arrange showroom displays. You will manage the day-to-day operation of the rentals department. You’re a team player, willing to pitch in for other departments as needed.

Prior experience in the Rental Industry is a must.

**Job Duties**
- Rents equipment or arranges for provision of service to customer.
- Explains rental fees and provides information about rented items, such as operation or description.
- Assist or supervise customer with loading of equipment when necessary.
- Demonstrate safety features and operational features of the equipment.
- Prepares rental forms and contracts, obtains customer signatures and other information as required.
- Maintain daily contract file.
- Computes charges based on rental or service rate.
- Collects deposit or payment or records credit charges by maintaining customer charge file daily.
- Answers telephone and receives orders by phone.
- Recommends items to customers that meet their needs.
- Reserves items for requested time and maintains rental reservation file.
- Updates/calls overdue contracts.
- Work with the service department to ensure the safe and on time delivery of maintained equipment to the customers.
- Resolve customer problems.
- Order, clean and arrange showroom equipment.
- Inventory retail sales merchandise.
- Attend department, and safety meetings.
- Manage delivery drivers’ time, efficiency and adherence to company policies, procedures and safety regulations.
- Report any unsafe acts or conditions immediately.
- Perform other duties as requested.

**Requirements**:

- High School diploma or equivalent GED is preferred
- Able to lift approximately 70 lbs.
- Maintain a professional appearance.
- Able to use mathematics to solve problems.
- Possess sales and customer relation skills.
- Must be able to process cash and credit card payments.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- People management experience and working knowledge of tools such as concrete saws, air compressors, jacks, etc.
- Excellent track record for maintaining good working relationships with co-workers and customers.
- Able to maintain a high degree of patience.
- Excellent track record for dependability, accountability, quality work and high output.
- Must obtain a criminal record check.
