B.C.’s new vision for transforming mental health and addictions care, Pathway To Hope, is a roadmap to make positive, lasting changes, so that B.C.’s system of mental health and addictions care works for everyone, breaking down barriers and meeting people where they are at when they need support. You will be joining a system based on four pillars: wellness promotion, prevention, and early intervention; seamless and integrated care; equitable access to culturally safe and effective care; Indigenous health and wellness.

As part of this strategy, MCFD is expanding specialized services for children and youth with complex needs. These High Intensity Services teams follow a wrap-around collaborative approach, specialized clinical staff and outreach workers working together in flexible ways, including virtual, in home, school, and community settings to support children, youth, and their families and their individual needs.

The High Risk/Outreach Clinician will provide direct clinical services such as intake, assessment, treatment, and crisis intervention; consultation/liaison with community agencies, schools, hospitals, and other ministry programs. They will work collaboratively as part of a mobile team of practitioners, visiting youth in community, at home/foster home and in health centres.
