**RKey Responsibilities**:

- Clearing of the work area, preparation of tools and materials
- Use of hand tools
- Digging holes and trenches
- Pulling cable
- Move and carry construction materials and supplies that may weigh in excess of 30 kg
- Cable preparation and placement
- Basic interpretation of plans, diagrams, and locates
- Work outdoors in various elements
- Communicate with team members on preparation and project coordination

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 1-year experience in a telecom construction environment
- Clean Driver's Abstract
- Preference for previous construction laborer experience, such as shallow utilities or pipeline but not required
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
- Willing to work long hours and travel. The shift schedule is 10-hour days.
- Must have reliable transportation to get to job sites and a valid driver's license
- A safety-conscious, positive attitude, and good work ethic
- Willing to assist the team in any capacity
- Good verbal communication skills, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to read and write in English
- Ability to read blueprint is an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: $28.00-$38.00 per hour
