**Our Library System**

The Thompson-Nicola Regional Library (TNRL), the biggest Regional District department provides services through 13 locations and a Mobile Library. Located in the Central Interior of British Columbia, the TNRL is committed to providing excellent service to patrons for lifetime personal growth, learning and enjoyment. The Library team provides programming, materials and resources to people of all ages and abilities. The Indigenous Youth Interns will work in an organization that values flexibility and exemplary service. As a member of the library team, you will help to build strong relationships and partnerships in all our communities.

**The Role**
- Job Requirements- Be a current secondary student who is 16 years of age or older.
- Be an avid reader who loves books.
- Have a passion for learning and helping others
- Have strong computer skills and a desire to share these skills with others.
- Be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Have strong organizational and time management skills.
- Be interested in learning about public library work as a profession.

This is a temporary position, with a term from July 8, 2024 - August 30, 2024. The position pays $17.40 per hour with an additional 12% paid in lieu of benefits.

The TNRD requires that all successful applicants undergo a Criminal Record Check.
