We’re excited to search for a Community Impact Student to join our team and showcase our social impact. Your work will help us engage our employees in the communities we serve, manage events and sponsorships, and support giving initiatives through the Medavie Foundation. As an energetic self-starter able to network and bring great ideas forward, you will gain valuable experience collaborating with team members across our organization and working with community partners to help build a healthier Canada.

**What you’ll do**:

- Support the development and activation of employee volunteering and engagement opportunities with key sponsorships and Medavie Foundation partners, working with community partners to ensure a positive experience for employees and community members and proactive identification and development of additional employee engagement initiatives.
- Work with the Foundation and Medavie Brand and Creative Services team to coordinate how our brand is viewed and experienced in our communities through recognition of donations, sponsorships, activations, and other community impact needs including awareness and engagement initiatives.
- Support Foundation staff in community giving including supporting with administration and data management, decision processes, due diligence and assessment of opportunities in line with the Foundation’s funding strategy, criteria and processes as well as CRA regulatory requirements.
- Decline or transition applicant organizations that do not align to giving strategy, managing relationships in line with Medavie values.
- Review partner reports including review of budgets for appropriate expenditures, review of narrative reports for outcomes/impact of funding and otherwise monitor use of funding by partners and provide recommendations on Foundation impact framework.
- Work with Foundation staff and the Director, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) in the rollout and operationalization of the DEI strategy by supporting the employee resources group program
- Support Foundation staff on ad hoc projects including Medavie Foundation Scholarship, documenting processes, etc
- Self-directed study and research to achieve learning objectives of placement

- Role will require strong program development and project management as well as communications skills, empathy, and objective critical thinking to identify and implement improvements to employee engagement opportunities and the Medavie scholarship program.
- Sponsorship support will also require marketing knowledge to identify strengths and opportunities to improve sponsorship activations
