***The Opportunity**:
WSP’s Water/Wastewater Facilities Team is currently seeking an Engineer in Training (EIT) to join our Mechanical team, located in our Thornhill office. Reporting to the Mechanical Team Lead, the EIT will be responsible for assisting design teams with calculations, design, technical specification, AutoCAD, Revit modeling, and BIM360 services on various projects.

**A day in the life**:

- Calculations, modelling, and preparing specifications for Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Domestic Hot and Cold water piping, Sanitary and Storm piping layout, and Natural gas piping;
- Preparing AutoCAD drawings and Revit 3D modeling for mechanical systems;
- Understanding of building mechanical engineering requirement, National Building Code (NBC), Ontario Building Code (OBC), ASHRAE, ASPE, NFPA, and CSA standards for building and site design;
- Perform individually or as a team member, under direct supervision of senior engineers;
- Basic understanding of project management;
**What you'll bring to WSP...**:

- University graduated with Bachelor’s degree of Mechanical Engineering; Registered EIT with PEO;
- Up to 5 years of experience in designing mechanical systems, including: heating, ventilation, cooling, plumbing, and natural gas;
- Ability to work independently or as a team member to deliver the design and meet the deadlines;
- Experience with utility companies, authorities having jurisdiction, and applicable codes, standards and work practices;
- Familiarity with software used for mechanical engineering such as HAP, Trace, equipment selection, etc.
- Excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit and BIM360;
- Exemplary interpersonal skills with team members and other disciplines;
- Enthusiastic, eager to learn, detail oriented, organized, hard worker, and team player attitude;
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills;
