The Invasive Species Council of BC is a provincial non-profit organization working to protect and restore BC’s landscapes and habitats from the devastating impacts of invasive species. Over the past 17 years, the Council has developed and delivered outreach, training, and skill development programs while working closely with a network of partners, including the Indigenous Invasive Species Network, Local Government Invasive Species Network, and the Province of BC.

SUMMARY*

As a **Manager, Indigenous Partnerships,** you will be responsible for growing and strengthening relationships and effectively delivering programs specifically designed with and for Indigenous communities. Manager, Indigenous Partnerships, you will be responsible for growing and strengthening relationships and effectively delivering programs specifically designed with and for Indigenous communities. This position requires a passionate individual committed to Indigenous cultural practices and values and nature conservation.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Strengthening and growing relationships with Indigenous communities
- Providing and growth for the provincial Indigenous Invasive Species Network.
- With ISCBC team, facilitate support with Indigenous communities for training, resources, operational planning, and local education
- Support growing knowledge on impacts and solutions of invasive species to Indigenous communities and integrate learnings into key resources.
- Sharing learnings from Indigenous communities with the ISCBC staff and partners.
- With ISCBC Learning team, update and refresh existing assets and learning content such as facilitator guides, presentation materials, training modules, Quick Reference Guides, and Best Practices for Invasive Species Management.
- Other duties as assigned

What skills and strengths you will bring as a **Manager, Indigenous Partnerships**:

- Budget management

- Strong team player (virtual and in-person)

- MS Office -especially MS Word and Powerpoint

- Willingness to learn about and liaise in stewardship and impact of invasive species.

**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**
- 5+ years of experience working in a leadership role, building strong relationships and delivering initiatives with and for Indigenous communities and partners
- Experience working and leading the development and implementation of indigenous initiatives aimed at building strong relationships, knowledge, resources, and collaboration.
- Knowledge of nature conservation and restoration principles will be considered an asset.
