Rotary House Cancer Lodge Atdt

The Lodge Attendant facilitates a positive guest stay at Rotary House Cancer Lodge through the provision of guest services including reception, initial telephone assessment, registration, scheduling, and booking. The attendant assists in coordinating the daily operational requirements of the Lodge. The attendant works to support guests through problem solving, facilitating/enabling them to optimize their access to community and hospital resources. The Lodge Attendant must be available to respond in an emergency - identify the problem, address or refer to security or Emergency Room or call 911, at any time 24/5. The attendant works in accordance with the goals and objectives of the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH).

**Education**:
I. Secondary School Diploma or Equivalent mandatory

II. 1 year Healthcare related or Hospitality and Tourism

III. Standard First Aid and CPR mandatory

IV. Proton Food Safety Certificate mandatory

**Experience**:
I. Minimum of 2 years working in a service industry setting - dealing with public, knowledge and experience of Cancer System preferred

**Competencies**:
I. MS Office

II. MediTech and ARIA

III. Working with Data gather and uses data

IV. Scheduling using MediTech and ARIA to obtain information for registration

V. First Aid and CPR

VI. Administrative Skills to ensure continued coordination of Lodge services

VII. Advance organizational Skills in order to prioritize duties

VIII. Effective oral and written communication skills

IX. Ability to exercise discretion, tact, and confidentiality
