**About the role**

TTechnitask is seeking a **Windows** **Server Administrator **to join our team of professionals to design, implement and administer on premise server infrastructure utilizing industry and security best practices. The resource will be working in a Hyper-V and Windows Server environment. The resource must have a minimum five (5) years of recent and practical server administration experience. The resource is also expected to have a minimum five (5) years of directly related IT experience, with a broad understanding of technology and solutions trends in the market and the ability and desire to stay current. Experience with SCADA and Industry Control Systems would be an asset.

**The resource shall have**:
1. Proven proficiency in Microsoft on premise server design, implementation, and administration

2. Proven proficiency in Hyper-V architecture, design, and implementation

3. Proven proficiency with server, and storage security best practices

4. Experience in influencing and establishing collaboration direction within an organization

5. Understanding of enterprise level on premise server architecture

6. Understanding of integrations of an on-premise environment

7. North American job experience

**Typical roles and responsibilities include**:
1. Design, implementation, documentation, administration and troubleshooting of the enterprise server environment

2. Helps prepare plans for development and installation of server and storage according to present and future requirements

3. Provide expert technical support, design, and implementation on Microsoft Server and Hyper-V environments

4. Monitoring, performance tuning, troubleshooting and resolution of system problems to ensure system availability

5. Manage and maintain server disaster recovery including planning, implementation, maintenance, and testing

6. Manage and maintain the configuration, administration, upgrade, and maintenance of operational technology servers and related infrastructure

7. Interacts with our user base (corporate and field employees) on an as needed basis regarding technology issues and escalations

8. Provides infrastructure architecture recommendations

9. Works with server patch management processes and procedures to facilitate deployment

10. Maintains systems integrity through change control and problem management procedures and communication with internal customers

11. Follows Standard Operating Procedures when carrying out position responsibilities

12. Attends and participates in team meetings

13. Interacts with Enterprise Security to address potential security issues and concerns

6. Computer Science degree (nice to have)

**Additional information**
- Full-time role - as either a full-time employee or subcontractor
- Availability onsite at corporate offices in Regina, Saskatchewan or willingness to travel weekly to corporate offices.
- Willingness to travel to remote offices in Saskatchewan for system maintenance when required
- Willingness to be part of an on-call support rotation 1 week per month
- Background check required
- NDA and non-compete required

**Salary**: $60.00-$100.00 per hour
