MacEwen Glass and Mirror is hiring a Labourer, looking to eventually becoming an independent installer and team lead, to join their family-owned and operated business in Orangeville, Ontario. Our company supplies and installs sealed units, shower glass, mirrors, windows, doors, in addition to a variety of glass products for commercial and residential clients.

Schedule: 7:30am - 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday - ability to work overtime as assigned.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist Crew Leader in preparing for and completing day-to-day site activities.
- Perform physical labour including heavy lifting to execute all elements of each job.
- Professional, positive client interaction and satisfaction
- Travel to client worksites and suppliers.
- Safely and properly load, secure, transfer, and unload tools, parts, equipment, and supplies to and from workstations and other areas.
- Safe handling of glass, mirror, tools, and other products.
- Measuring and cutting of glass, mirror and other materials
- Install and/or replace glass and mirror products, including windows and doors, using hand and/or power tools.
- Examine and test doors and windows to ensure proper functioning.
- Follow instructions from supervisors.
- Perform on-site cleanup duties.
- Assist Crew Leader with employee instruction and training.
- Other duties as assigned including but not limited to shop cleaning and equipment maintenance.

**Qualifications**
- Confident working on ladders and at heights - indoors and outdoors
- Proficient and dependable with strong attendance and safety record.
- Construction/Trades Experience an asset
- Able to comfortably lift and unload weights over 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions - Yes, we work outdoors.
- Possesses hand tools and associated knowledge required to perform work duties.
- Valid Class G class driver’s license in good standing with clean driving abstract.
- Reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
- Previous experience with glass, windows, and doors an asset but not required

**Skills**
- Ability to communicate and interact professionally with clients and co
- workers while working in stressful public situations.
- Ability to operate effectively as a member of a work crew, however able to work independently with mínimal supervision while on assignment.
- Must be able to read work orders and related material.
- Must be able to understand numbers as they relate to dimensions.
- Ability to work in metric and imperial measurements.
- Manual dexterity

**Working Conditions**
- Must provide your own CSA approved safety footwear.
- Physical demands require standing, walking, climbing, sitting, pulling, pushing, and lifting of equipment and materials as required.
- Working conditions include an outdoor environment with exposure to inclement weather.

Experience: One Year Construction/trades experience (preferred)

License: Drivers License G - Ontario (required)
