Shop Service Technician performs a variety of tasks such as servicing, testing, troubleshooting, installation, commissioning and repair of equipment. A focus of this Shop Service Technician will be in mechanical service.

**Essential Job Responsibilities**:

- Material Handling
- moving material including the use of overhead cranes, jib cranes and forklifts.
- Mechanical and/or Electrical/Electronics servicing, testing, troubleshooting, installation, commissioning and repair.
- Cleaning and management of assigned tools, shop area
- Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
- Communicate with a Repair Manager or supervisor regularly, on all aspects of service.
- Complete reporting, job and billing paper work.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualification Requirements **_**(Minimum Education and Experience)**_**:

- Knowledge and experience with oilfield equipment and service work is an asset
- Alberta Industry Training
- Apprenticeship/Journeyperson program an asset. Millwright or Heavy Duty Mechanic training preferred.
- Experience with schematics and blueprints
- Good Communication skills (verbal and written)
