Production Brewer

**Production Brewer & Cellar**

Dartmouth, NS

Reporting to the Brewmaster, this role will be responsible for producing high quality wort and daily brewhouse and cellar operations - brewing on a 20 BBL, Steam, 3 vessel (MM,LT,BK) DME Brewhouse.

Some of the expectations of this role include:

- Managing wort production of Spindrift Brewing Co. recipes including core, seasonal and one-off brands;
- Conducting quality checks, process audits, and monitoring production reports to ensure quality and consistency, performance and record keeping;
- Following SOPs for quality and safety primarily regarding cleanliness and chemical handling;
- Performing CIP procedures on the brewhouse, fermenters and brite beer vessels;
- Yeast handling and processing to insure consistent fermentation;
- Filtering, transferring and carbonating beer
- Communicating with other members of the Brewing and Packaging team towards short-term and long-term production goals.
- Data entry of inventory and brewing records (EKOS Operating System)
- Occasional supplementation of the packaging team;
- Frequent lifting of 25kg.

Previous professional brewing experience is essential. Education in brewing sciences is an asset.
