SEASONAL MUSIC IN THE PARK & SUMMER PROGRAMS ASSISTANT

ORGANIZATIONAL UNIT: Community Services

GROUP: Recreation

REPORTS TO: Community Services Coordinator

CLASSIFICATION: Temporary Part-time (approx. 19-27 hours per week)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Music in the Park
- Responsibilities include attending weekly events, welcoming guests, entertainers, and sponsors to the event, assisting with set-up and take-down of the event, customer service, and all other duties as assigned.
- Provide customer service for inquiries at the event.
- Ensure customer service inquiries, complaints, or messages are documented and forwarded to the Community Services Manager.
- Responsible for any set-up and take-down of tables, chairs, etc. at the event.
- Ensuring the park is clean before, during, and after the event and reporting any maintenance issues to the supervisor.
- Respond appropriately in an emergency by contacting the supervisor immediately, calling for emergency services if needed, and completing incident documentation.

Summer Programs
- Supervise the children/youths attending the programs.
- Supervisor any youth volunteers.
- Assist with special events held throughout the summer.

Qualifications:

- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
- Completion of high school diploma.
- Experience with events is an asset.
- Experience with children is an asset.
- First Aid & CPR Certification or willingness to obtain.
