**Position Overview**

The Marina Attendant’s primary responsibility is to maintain superior guest relations by acting as a connection between Hindson Marina, its guests, and the public. This would include offering assistance at the marina gas dock, greeting all boaters, attending to guests’ concerns, and maintaining marina facilities.

Essential Job Functions
- Welcome and acknowledge each guest with a smile, eye contact and a friendly verbal greeting
- Re-fuel boats and company equipment
- Assist customers coming to or leaving the docks
- Cashier any purchases made at the fuel dock/chandlery
- Pump-out boats
- Garbage duties - disposing of all garbage into dumpsters, sorting, cleaning bins
- Dock patrol - cleaning docks and remove weeds from slips
- Assist in cleaning of washroom facilities, floatel, offices, chandlery
- Pool maintenance - chemical testing, vacuuming, cleaning and sanitizing pool deck and furniture
- Parking lot maintenance - sweeping, removing rocks from grates, garbage walk
- Removing weeds from gardens
- Lawn maintenance - grass cutting and edging
- Perform other seasonal duties - cleaning vehicles, boats
- Maintain ice production
- Yard duties as assigned - blocking, shrink wrap

- Continually strive to meet the Hindson Marina standard of customer experience
- Follow, understand and practice all Hindson Marina policies and procedures (ex: workplace health and safety, environmental, vacation, time off, etc)
- Report any incidents and/or accidents directly and immediately to your supervisor

**Requirements**:

- Must be available to work flexible hours Monday to Sunday, five days a week, including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Knowledge of nautical terminology or the ability to learn quickly is an asset
- Possession of a valid Pleasure Craft Operators card is an asset
- Possession of a valid First Aid and CPR Certification is an asset
- Must possess superior customer service skills
- Ability to swim and tread water for two minutes is an asset
- Comes to work dressed and prepared accordingly
- Must work well as a team or individually
- Must be computer literate
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and works with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with boats is an asset

**Working Conditions**:

- Required to move, lift, carry, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 30lbs without assistance
- Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period or for an entire shift
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting and pulling
- Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces
- Significant exposure to varying weather conditions
- May encounter excessive noise from boat engines and equipment
- May encounter obnoxious smell from wastewater, gasoline and diesel fuel
- May encounter hazardous materials, dangerous or toxic substances and chemicals

**Salary**: $16.55-$18.55 per hour
