**Position Description**:
The LOL will be responsible to oversee the daily operations of a production division. The position will develop processes that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality and productivity. The position will drive continuous improvement and optimization of all processes. The LOL will drive a performance based culture that aligns with the needs of our customers.

**Responsibilities / Duties**:

- Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our internal and external customers’ expectations.
- Report on key performance indicators for production on a weekly basis.
- Conduct structure audits of work centers on a monthly basis.
- Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.
- Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results.
- Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus with clear actions that drive results.
- Recommends, implements, and evaluates policies, procedures, and standards for all aspects of the work performed.
- Involved in recruiting and onboarding of new staff.
- Foster and maintain positive employee relations by ensuring all employees are treated with respect, concerns are dealt with in a timely manner and employees are communicated with openly.
- Drive significant cost reductions across all aspects of manufacturing including increased line efficiency, waste control, and higher labor productivity.
- Drive cost savings goals using sustainable continuous improvement tools such as 5S and Kaizen, focusing on optimization of production.
- Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts.

**Qualifications:
- Five years or greater of demonstrated experience as a Operations Leader, Manufacturing Leader or equivalent.
- Have an understanding of Lean principles and how it applies to the manufacturing environment.
- Has had previous exposure and adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, project management and human resources).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and navigate various operating systems.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills (both written and oral).
- Organization and time management skills.
- Six Sigma Lean experience is considered an asset.
- Technical Degree is considered an asset.
