The Centre Director is ultimately accountable for the commercial, operational, and academic needs of the centre, as well as the welfare needs of the staff and students. The post holder will be sales-minded, customer service oriented and have strong business management skills. They will be responsible for making their centre as attractive as possible to students through the delivery of an industry-beating student experience.
A key part of this role will be setting up and leading on the launch of a new for the Private Career College so experience in this sector is essential.
**Strategy and General Management**
- Oversees the set up and management of the Private Career College.
- Leads on the development plan for the center, including commercial and business development initiatives as well as operational needs.
- Manages all operational functions and ensures the running of the Center is efficient, effective, and profitable.
- Maintains compliance and accreditation for both provincial and national bodies.
- Plans, designs, and implements an accommodation strategy that caters for the center’s accommodation needs.
- Reviews performance on a monthly basis using data, ensuring service and delivery are in line with objectives.
**Sales & Marketing**
- Nurtures excellent relationships with agents and sales team.
- Positively represents and promotes the organization both locally and overseas in a professional fashion.
**People Management**
- Direct line management of Director of Studies and Student Services Manager.

**Financial Management**
- Assists in the day-to-day accounting processes for the school.
- Ensures budgets are adhered to and are reviewed as determined by the CFO, implementing any required changes.
- Assists in the preparation of any required financial reports.
**Knowledge, qualifications and experience**
- An undergraduate degree (essential)
- Senior management experience in a school/college environment
- Management experience within a Private Career College
- Experience of:
- managing groups of international students
- building and managing high performing teams
- safe-guarding of children and best practices
- working to commercial targets
- working with international clients
- A teaching qualification (desirable)
**Skills and Attributes**
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Competence in leadership and administration
- Highly collaborative and able to work across teams to deliver results
- Numerate and IT literate with competence in Excel
- Highly organised and able to manage a varied and demanding workload
- A keen eye for detail and a methodical and diligent approach to ensure quality and accurate results to any given task
