Temporary Custodian

Mohyla Institute is a post-secondary student residence. This position is responsible for helping out with all custodial & basic maintenance duties to the interior and exterior of the building and grounds maintenance.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and dusting
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly
- Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas, including hallways and lobbies
- Moving furniture and supplies as directed by Supervisor
- Checking facilities for safety hazards and reporting any deficiencies
- Maintenance and cleaning of bedroom turnovers
- Assist with facilities maintenance, such as light bulb replacement or minor repairs

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in custodial or janitorial work preferred
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and equipment is a plus
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
- Good physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks
- WHMIS required.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: $16.00 per hour
