**Job Title: Lead Scheduler (Turnaround)**
**Location: Nanticoke, ON (must be local, or willing to relocate at your own expense)**
**Rotation: Mon-Fri (40 hours); TA Schedule 24-hour operations**
**Contract Length: Apr 2023 - Dec 2024**

Description:

- Demonstrates Safety as the top priority when scheduling work
- Accountable for overall schedule integrity and analysis
- Organize and lead schedule optimization reviews with Lead Planners and all vested personnel, including but not limited to:

- Oil Field Supervision
- Operations
- Inspections
- SHE
- Instrument and Electrical
- Major Machinery
- Capital Projects
- Lead and Specialty Contractors
- Ensure overall efficient integration of shut-down schedule with the handover of equipment for mechanical work, and sequenced turnover of equipment for start-up, for all units involved with the Turnaround
- Monitor the consistent use of good scheduling practices across all planning teams and projects, including the use of:

- Resources
- Calendars
- Constraints
- Lags
- Activity level of detail
- Logic
- Cross-project dependencies
- Validate resource requirements for total event, by block/contractor/etc.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of resource leveling (whether manual or Primavera based), and resource histograms
- Identify and monitor all critical and sub-critical paths for the total event
- Validate the Turnaround duration for all units based on schedule analysis, potential risks, and anticipated contingency for weather and other events
- Ensure the total event schedule is accurate and ready for Control Schedule Complete milestone timing. This includes all phases of work:

- Pre-turnaround
- Shut Down
- Mechanical Downtime
- Start-Up
- Post Turnaround
- Manage the optimization of schedule per Control Schedule Complete milestone including the inclusion of any project work not completed prior to Pre-TA.
- Educate field execution personnel on how to use look-ahead schedules, and how to properly progress work.
- Measure and analyze progress performance and forecasts for multiple projects and identify productivity issues and resolutions and recommend action/recovery plan to maintain scheduled end dates.
- Validate consistency in planning updates, look-ahead reports and tracking tools.
- Validate communication plan for turnaround team includes all scheduling components.
- Assist support schedulers in establishing, creating, and maintaining baselines.
- Generate event-level reports and assist with detail reporting. (i.e., status, look-ahead and forecast reports)
- Prepare and present Turnaround update package to managers.
- Interface with work force and cost tracking.(i.e. file, exports, and provide percent completes)
- Main contact to perform specific schedule analysis.
- Resolve any scheduling issues, including:

- Negative float
- Out-of-sequence updates
- Resource overloads
- Added/deleted work.
- Progress validation, etc.
- Mentor and train other Planners and Support Schedulers in the use of good planning and scheduling practices, and Primavera skills
- Work with team to set up and conduct Post Turnaround critique of schedule
- Ensure preparation, facilitation, and close-out for recommendations are completed for all scheduling peer assists
- Support network initiatives and reviews at other sites

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 18 months

**Salary**: From $85.00 per hour
