**Duties**:
- Perform comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and ocular health
- Diagnose and treat visual conditions such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism
- Prescribe corrective lenses or medications as needed
- Provide specialized care for pediatric and senior patients
- Offer guidance on proper eye care practices and preventive measures
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for integrated patient care
- Utilize electronic health record systems like Epic for accurate documentation
**Requirements**:
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution
- State licensure to practice optometry
- Proficiency in medical terminology related to optometry
- Experience in pediatric and senior eye care is advantageous
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective patient care and communication
- Knowledge of optical products and sales techniques
- Commitment to delivering high-quality patient-centered care
