**Tasks**:
- Organize and co-ordinate production
- Supervise staff or team
- Determine treatment, scope and scheduling of production
- Interpret scripts, select the cast and advise in the interpretation and delivery of the performance
- Plan, organize and direct the artistic aspects of production
- Plan and co-ordinate the production of musical recordings
- Direct musicians and singers during rehearsals and recording
- Proofread to ensure accuracy
- Act as host/hostess or master of ceremonies, introduce and interview guests and conduct proceedings of shows or programs
- Set up, prepare, operate and adjust audio, recording, editing and reproducing equipment to record, edit and reproduce sound input
- Write news stories for publication and broadcast
- Write editorials and commentaries on topics of current interest to stimulate public interest and express the views of a publication or broadcasting station
- Conceive and write novels, plays, scripts, poetry and other material for publication or presentation
