- Experience with internal helpdesk tasks (GSuite account management, DNS, system setup, etc.)
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (ideally AWS, but Azure or GCP would translate)
- Willing to learn how to build and maintain AWS CDK (with Typescript) for Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Experience with creating CI/CD pipelines (Github Actions, CircleCI, AWS CodePipeline)
- Familiar with database management (Slow Queries, Index Utilization, CPU, Cache Swap, etc)

**Your role and responsibilities**
- Respond to help desk requests, provide technical support and troubleshoot hardware and software issues
- less than 50% of time spent on ops work: tickets, on-call, manual tasks, etc.
- 50% actually writing code. Automating manual tasks ("toil") away.
- "Do it, improve it, automate it"
- Monitor and improve: availability, latency, performance, efficiency, change management, monitoring, emergency response, etc.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to increase efficiency and remove roadblocks
- Working with the Architecture team to propose solutions to our growing infrastructure needs
- Yes, there is an on-call rotation and there will be occasional requirements to work late/early; That said, we try to keep it to a minimum and automate as much as possible so it doesn’t become normal. We always encourage you to take that time back.

- AWS: ECS, ECR, RDS, Lambda, EventBridge, SQS, etc.
- Databases: MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, DynamoDB, AWS Aurora
- Tools: GitHub, New Relic, TestFlight, Xcode
- CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Codepipeline (TravisCI is being deprecated)
- IaC: AWS CDK with TypeScript (some Terraform that is being deprecated)
- Products: Web Dashboards, Data, Mobile Apps (iOS, Android)

**Salary**: $65,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
