Adventure Tails is a Reader’s Choice award winning company in the Peterborough area, and we are looking for a Dog Walker/Pet Sitter to join our growing team This long-term part time position is a great fit for active retirees, and freelancers, or those who have extra time before or after shift work. We're looking for people who are passionate about pets, who love the outdoors, and aren't afraid of working in the elements, want exercise and unconditional love, and who would like to make some additional spending money and supplemental income.

Here’s What we Ask You to Do:

- Be available for dog walking and pet sits Monday to Friday from approximately 9:00am to 2:30/3:00pm.
- You will travel to clients' homes and take dogs to trails, parks, and through forests. 95% of our services are performed within walking distance of the client’s home.
- Care for pets at the client's home including refreshing water, giving treats, feeding meals, cuddles, playtime, etc.
- Did we mention this job requires you to play with puppies too? For many of our team, they say it's the best job ever

Here’s What We’re Looking For:

- Experience in the animal industry or equivalent is an asset.
- Experience as a pet parent.
- Be physically fit, and able to work in all types of weather (this is a VERY active position that requires hours of energy, even on rainy, snowy, cold, or humid and hot days.)
- Be a pet person AND people person.
- Must have an insured and reliable vehicle, as well as a valid G or G2 drivers license, and be comfortable driving in all weather conditions.
- Strong ability to work with little to no supervision.
- You can follow instructions, are reliable and self-motivated.
- Must have a reliable cell phone with a data plan and GPS.
- Have the ability to communicate effectively with Adventure Tails management and fellow team members, by responding to communication promptly.
- Be able to provide professional references and a current and clean police record check
